ChemWatch

Chemwatch is the database used by CQUniversity that provides detailed information about a range of chemicals. It is designed for anyone working in close contact with chemicals and is very user friendly. You can call up the description of any substance at the touch of a button, and obtain Material Safety Data Sheets and labels for hazardous substances. Chemwatch also contains all appropriate handling procedures and storage details.

How to download CHEMWATCH to your computer

  1. On the desktop background, right click with the mouse
  2. Select New → Shortcut from the menu
  3. When the window titled Create shortcut appears type \\rokstaff\chemwatch\start.bat in the Location text field
  4. Click Next
  5. Type Chemwatch as the name for the shortcut
  6. Click on Finish
  7. A shortcut with icon will appear on the desktop. Double click on the icon to start ChemWatch.

The first time you run ChemWatch, a directory C:\Chem will be created on you hard disk for temporary file storage.
