This is an important aid to help you remember information that you have heard in a lecture. Take notes all the time during lectures. It will help you:
Always put a date on your notes.
Always reread and formalise your notes at the end of the day while the lecture is still fresh in your mind.
Try to make your own shorthand for commonly used words and phrases constantly used in the course.
Keep a separate notebook or a separate section in your folder for each course that you do. This means that all your notes for that particular course will be in one place.
Print so that your notes will be legible.
When revising, it is a good idea to correct your grammar and spelling in the notes to reinforce the information you are re-reading.
