AU $293 per week
  • Students can enrol on any Monday except scheduled vacations;
  • Students can choose their length of study from 1 - 52 weeks;
  • The course is focused on developing everyday communication skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking; and
  • Students can transfer from General English to an Academic English program if they meet the minimum entry requirements.

English For Academic Purposes 2 (EAP 2) (CRICOS 069709D)

This 10 week EAP program:

  • is designed to prepare students for successful study at university or TAFE in Australia;
  • includes intensive practice of reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks required of university students; and
  • Also includes research, information literacy and computer skills necessary for producing academic assessment.

Entry Requirements

  • IELTS of 5.0 for EAP 2 (reading and writing must be 5.0) or equivelant;
  • IELTS of 5.5 or equivalent are eligible to articulate to the 10 week direct entry program provided they have successfully passed the initial assessments of this course; and
  • Students must enrol in the entire 10 week academic program

English for Academic Purposes - Direct Entry (EAP DE) (CRICOS 017006K)

10 week program - AU $2930

 This 10 week program:

  • Runs to coincide with the commencement of university terms;
  • Is designed to familiarise students with academic life and enable them to have hands-on practice with a variety of academic activities undertaken by university students;
  • Students who meet all requirements of this 10 week course may be able to gain direct entry to CQUniversity without the need to sit a further IELTS test; and
  • Students can study their degree program at any CQUniversity campus.

 Entry Requirements

  • IELTS 5.5 (reading and writing must be 5.0 or higher) or TOEFL 523
  • A conditional offer for a CQUniversity undergraduate or postgraduate degree program (with any CQUniversity campus); and
  • Students must enrol in the entire academic program.

 10 weeks   Successful completion of EAP DE satisfies the English Language Proficiency requirements for all CQUniversity programs which set their entry requirement at the equivalent of Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no sub-test less than 5.5.

For programs with a higher IELTS score or equivalent, students will be required to sit an IELTS test.
