Monitoring Academic Progress (MAP)

MAP Stage 1

If you have been identified at MAP Stage 1 you have failed to achieve a passing grade in more than 50% of your enrolled courses or failed the same course again or not met a more specific requirement. See the Monitoring Academic Progress policy (link provided below).

You are now required to undertake a compulsory telephone interview with CQUniversity Student Support Centre staff at Rockhampton campus. Please arrange this interview within 10 working days of the date of your letter of notification.

To prepare for the interview please read the Action Plan that was attached to your email and consider actions you can take to achieve satisfactory progress in your future studies. These will be discussed in your interview.

MAP Stage 1 is designed to give you individual assistance to help you achieve passing grades.

MAP Stage 2: Show Cause

Domestic Students

Step 1

Complete a Show Cause - Student Response Form

Step 2

Attach supporting documentation such as a letter from your medical practitioner for any claim of exceptional, extenuating circumstances.

Step 3

Return your Show Cause - Student Response Form and supporting evidence within 10 working days of your letter of notification to the Manager, Student Support Centre:

Step 1

Make arrangements within 10 working days of your letter of notification for an interview with the Manager, Student Support Centre at the contact details below. It is essential that you bring to the interview your completed Show Cause - Student Response Form and documented evidence to support any claim of exceptional, extenuating circumstances.

MAP Stage 3: Intent to Cancel Enrollment

It is important to note the grounds on which you can appeal before completing the Appeal Application Form. Your appeal must be about the Policy process NOT personal reasons.

Attach supporting documentation.

Step 3
