Program Structure

This will be a 3 year program culminating to the award of a Master Degree of Rail Operations Management. There will be two exit qualifications in the form of a Graduate Certificate in Rail Operations Management (after the successful completion of 1 year) and the Graduate Diploma of Rail Operations Management (after successful completion of 2 years), for those who wish to reach an intermediate milestone, and defer the completion of the full program until a later date.

The program structure will be as follows:

Year 1 – Graduate Certificate in Rail Operations Management
  • RAIL29014 OPS1 – Introduction to Rail Operations Management
  • RAIL29015 OPS2 – Rail Infrastructures
  • RAIL29016 OPS3 – Network and Localised Train Control

Year 2 – Graduate Diploma of Rail Operations Management

  • RAIL29017 OPS4 – Train Planning
  • RAIL29018 OPS5 – Passenger and Freight Operations
  • RAIL29019 OPS6 – Rail Operations Risk Management and Administration

Year 3 – Masters of Rail Operations Management

  • RAIL29020 OPS7 – Rail Operations Management Project Definition and Planning
  • RAIL29021 OPS8 – Rail Operations Management Project Implementation 1
  • RAIL29022 OPS9 – Rail Operations Management Project Implementation 2
